Home and Business
Imagine living and working in the idyllic locale of Tapora on the edge of the Kaipara Harbour.
Kevin and Jane cultivate cut and export over 30 varieties of flowers from the Protea family on a beautifully groomed 7.25 hectare block. They currently send approximately half their crop overseas with the balance going to the local market which is steadily increasing in strength.
Included with the business is a contemporary 3 bedroom house, a self-contained one bed sleepout a 7 bay implement shed, a disused milking shed, a large packing shed and propagating greenhouse. As this is a going concern all associated equipment and machinery is also included. The vendors are happy to transition new owners into the business to ensure a seamless takeover.
Tapora is an ideal location to grow a family, the local primary is an 8 minute walk away, the School bus takes college age kids to the local secondary school, the world famous in Rodney golf course is just 6 kilometers away and the fishing is simply legendary!

Having recently successfully completed the National Certificate in Agri-Business Management, Mark is looking forward to sharing his knowledge of rural issues developed over an active 20 year career in the dairy industry, and providing his clients with the best possible service.
Before farming Mark served 8 years in the RNZN as a marine Engineer and then several more years in the mechanical maintenance area.
After living and working in the Wellsford area since 1994, Mark has a real affinity with the upper Rodney area and has involved himself with the local community, whether it is coaching soccer and cricket while his 2 children grew up, leading the Wellsford School Board of Trustees or mowing the Port Albert Cemetery lawns.
When Mark’s not working he enjoys fishing, scuba diving and enjoying a rural lifestyle with his family.
