Darren started his real estate career in 1984 in Australia working for his family company, The Professionals Everton Park in Brisbane. There with his father Keith and brother Brian forged a dynamic business covering all facets of the Real Estate business. Now it is one of the leading Real Estate companies in Brisbane and has been the Number 1 Professionals office in Queensland for the last 16 years and in the Top 5 Nationally. Darren has involved himself in all facets of Real Estate starting in property management, moving into residential sales and management of the sales team and then moving into Projects, later managing a large team handling most major residential developments on the north side of Brisbane. Seeking further Real Estate challenges, Darren moved to a corporate role working as a Business Development Manager for The Professionals Queensland with his major focus to procure developments to sell for the members of the group. These included major developments in Rockhampton, Cairns, Airlie Beach with the major development being for Camalco Australia in Gladstone. The development had 48 townhouses and 242 sections with 48 of these either fronting the golf course or the Pacific Ocean. Darren moved to New Zealand after being offered a position with the then Harvey’s Corporation as an area manager for West Auckland, having the responsibility of the day to day running of five offices, Auction calling and procurement of property and developments to sell. Darren now owns the Harvey’s Papakura office which has a strong sales team and also a Property Management Division. This office is now well and truly entrenched in the top 5 in the country receiving numerous awards. Darren will be the responsible for the day-to-day management of the development and the projects sales staff.
Born and educated in Dalian, China, Qinghui came to New Zealand over 17 years ago. She fell in love with the land of long white cloud and soon made New Zealand her second home. She began with a successful career in various customer service and sales roles. She also worked for The Asian New Settlers Service Trust, leading to her most recently held position as Chinese Language School Manager. During this busy time, she managed to earn a graduate diploma in interpreting from Auckland University.
She decided to join the real estate industry citing helping people find their right home as one of her motivations, Qinghui anticipated what she could achieve in both real estate and family life.
Embarking into real estate, Qinghui has quickly established herself as a consistent, hard worker in her field. She is dedicated to helping people buying or selling homes. She assures her clients her full commitment and service as their realtor. Having the ability to speak fluent Chinese, English, and Japanese language enables her to advise clients who are new to New Zealand and can also expose the Papakura region to international markets.
Qing hui has resided in Papakura since 2009. Her loving husband, David Curtin, is a local school teacher. Qinghui and her husband have two lovely children, both born and raised in Papakura.
Qinghui also volunteers at The Citizens Advice Bureau. She has always had a passion for volunteering her time, commitment and enthusiasm towards community organizations. Whether she was contributing her time at the helping at her children’s school or, now participating in fundraising events, Qinghui always gets involved.
